AMD readies Centrino killer

THE NOTEBOOK RACE is about to heat up in January. Two sources claim that is when AMD will announce their Centrino killer, or more likely a chip in the same market segment as the Centrino.

Both sources agree that Broadcom will be one of the chipset providers, maybe just for the wireless part, and maybe for a lot moremore. Either way, it won't be long now. And you thought this was just about the eight, 16 and 32 way boxes Sun was rumoured to be talking to them about a few weeks ago.
