Acer America Corp. on Monday introduced a notebook based on the 64-bit mobile processor from Advanced Micro Devices Inc.
The Ferrari 3400, which runs on the Mobile AMD Athlon 64 for thin and light notebooks, includes a 15-inch screen, and 80GB hard drive, 512MB of SDRAM and support for Wi-Fi standard 802.11g, Acer said. The notebook also has four USB 2.0 ports and a FireWire port and delivers up to four hours of battery life.
The Ferrari 3400, which is preloaded with Windows XP Pro and weighs 6.5 pounds, sells for a starting price of $2299.
