Introduction

Well you may have heard about the new Gigabyte GA-7VAXP from our exclusive news release of the announcement of this board a few months back. Today we finally have our hands on it. The Gigabyte GA-7VAXP motherboard featuring the VIA KT400 chipset, Firewire, AGP 8X and everything else you could imagine jam packed into the latest AMD board from Gigabyte.


What You Get





Inside the box you will find IDE Cables, USB 2.0 headers, Firewire header, Quickstart guide and of course your Driver CDROM with Promise Raid drivers and all motherboard drivers.

As always Gigabyte loves to pack its products with everything you should ever need to get it running correctly the first time. In the box you will find a quick installation guide, user manual for the board and also one for the Promise RAID.

You also get the USB 2.0 rear plate, Firewire plate, SPDIF bracket, and all your IDE and floppy cables included.



First Impressions




Well from a few months back our first impressions of this board from Gigabyte was this is what everyone is waiting for, especially for our AMD lovers out their. This board was marked as the first KT400 chipset board in the world. The board is based on the previous VIA Apollo KT333. The GA-7VAXP supports AMD's new 0.13 micron process technology.
