The design of the unit is solid aluminum and features the Laserpod logo etched into the side of the unit. The unit is very well designed and will suit all home décor. One thing that I found with the Laserpod is that it does not look cheap, and looks like a very expensive peace of equipment. You can see that a lot of thought and design has gone into making this product as a whole. A black rubber covered button can be found at the back of the unit. This is used for cycling through the different modes of the Laserpod as well as turning the unit on and off.
A Laser warning label is also affixed to the back of the unit with a warning not to stare into the beam of the laser.
Some technical specifications of the laser are as follows:
Laser wavelength: 630-680nm
Max Output -1mW
Class II Laser Product
The whole warning note on the box and the back of the Laserpod scared me however if you don’t look directly into the beam of the unit just look at the ceiling and what it creates you the unit has no affect at all and is very safe to use.
The Laserpod unit works best in a completely dark room. The unit with no refractive lens or dome gives off a very tranquil blue light with red laser beams shining through. The red beams tend to swirl around in motions consistent with the movement of the crystal. The unit really does look great and has an extremely calming effect on you. Adding the refractor disk causes the light once again to change and gives you a completely different visual feast for you to enjoy.
